The floor workers were blasting loud music on the radio while the electricians were trying to do their job, and it was incredibly difficult for them to concentrate considering the kind of work they were doing. So they politely asked the floor crew to turn it down. This request was met with refusal. So the electricians got busy hatching a plan for petty revenge. They decided that they'd make sure that this radio never worked again, and they were true to their intent.
